About 4MyEarth® Fabrics that we use for our wraps and pockets & why is it unique & eco friendly?
When researching the
many fabrics available for our wraps and pockets it was important that
it meet certain standards that should be important to everyone. We did
not want just any old fabric that is called food safe, or one that at
the end of its use cannot break down. With all of this in mind it took
over 6 months to find a suitable material that was confirmed and had
been tested to ensure that it was safe and non-toxic and suitable to be
used with food.
4MyEarth® Fabrics
that we use for our wraps and pockets is polyester and is manufactured
under strict conditions to ensure that there are no harmful substances
present while been manufactured and at the same time being conscious of
our environment. Our unique and environmentally friendly coating that
is PVC & phthalate free keeps food fresh, is non-toxic, breathable
and conforms to FDA standards. The coating itself is heavy metal free
and naturally decomposes without harm to the environment, unlike PUL
which is not biodegradable. Tests conducted by SGS which evaluates and
screens for any harmful substances present within processed textiles
intended to come into contact with consumers are done so to meet those
standards of Oeko-Tex 100 standards.
Our wraps and pockets are all hand or machine washable.
With so many concerns
with plastics and their effects on our bodies such as preservatives 320
& 321 4MyEarth® Fabrics are a great alternative to clip seal bags
and plastic wrap.
