Having previously installed a 35kW system, the new system at the Transfer Station will generate an additional 48,684 kWh per year. The system is tailored for their buildings and energy needs and was designed to work with the multiple roofs on site.
The existing system and the distance between the roofs made the installation quite interesting, as the team had to deal with large cable runs during installation.
With our in house team of designers and engineers we were able to create an optimal system which took into account the challenges of the site, without interfering with the build process or quality. We also successfully worked alongside the existing solar PV system on the roof.
Another unique feature of the site was the presence of onsite generators. This required extremely accurate electrical designs and diagrams of the system and ensuring that the array did not interfere with the existing electrical infrastructure.
The installed system is comprised of 194 Yingli 260W panels and uses Fronius inverters. Thanks to this install, the reduced emissions are equivalent to the removal of 14 cars from the road.
