On the back of extremely high customer satisfaction from our previous 3 installations across multiple Wesley campuses, EnviroGroup has been once again engaged by the premiere educational institution for a 99kW solar on their Senior School building.

Building Design and Architects

EnviroGroup was brought in at the building design level to liaise with the school’s architects. Engaging a solar installer with expert knowledge on electrical and regulatory requirements in the early stages of a build ensures that the solar is integrated at all stages, for a problem free and seamless installation – we always recommended it.

Our CEC accredited electrical engineers designed a bespoke solar PV layout for the Glen Waverley building, utilising complex design principles to maximise the available roof space. Small arrays, complex array stringing from the panels to the inverters and precise electrical calculations ensured that every inch of usable solar real estate was used.

The design also factored in limited space for the mounting of inverters and the electrical infrastructure associated with the solar system. Our specialised knowledge of electricity distributor requirements informed this decision, to guarantee continued compliance of the system.

Installed during stage 4 lockdown

The installation occurred during Melbourne’s Stage 4 restrictions, while the building was unoccupied – but with a two-week timeline until a limited number of students would return following the school holidays. Our installers followed our detailed COVID Safe Plan, wore masks, maintained physical distance and gave it all they had to get the job done quickly and safely. Despite the tight deadline and significant safety restrictions, the team was able to deliver a high-calibre installation and finished works on time.
