EnviroGroup was thrilled to take part in the Efficient Electric Home Expo of 2022 organised by Moonee Valley Sustainability.
There were many sustainability solutions on display including solar power and storage options, hot water systems, heating and cooling and efficient (gas-free) cooking demonstrations.
A community event, it was great to see many locals attending and taking part in the rich discussions about sustainability. Getting off gas was a popular point of discussion and many were curious to learn about how to get off gas completely.
Our managing director, Mick Harris, delivered a talk about overcoming the challenges with getting off gas to a number of enthusiastic attendees. For those who missed it, we are planning to organise another talk at our warehouse, so stay tuned!
The households that already had solar were looking for further ways to cultivate a sustainable future. There were discussions about when to install a solar battery, how often solar systems should be serviced, the best way to optimise solar power and many more.
For those households starting the solar journey, there were many engaging conversations about what to look out for when choosing a solar installer and whether solar batteries should be installed at the same time as the solar system.
Another common question was about rebates available for solar installations. Government rebates and incentives are always changing and it’s important to stay abreast of the developments. For instance, Solar Victoria announced a recent change to expand eligibility to new builds for solar panel rebates.
While the value of rebates are decreasing, this is an indication that solar is becoming more and more attractive in its own right, especially given the rise in electricity and gas prices.
EnviroGroup can always assist with providing the latest information and it was great to see Solar Victoria also in attendance at the Expo.
Thank you again to Moonee Valley Sustainability for putting together such an epic event!
